So you want to get a drone
There are many drones to choose from. Do a quick google search and you will not know where to start.
So you want to get a drone but you’re not too sure where to begin?
I was in the same situation many months ago and after a lot of time searching, checking reviews and watching YouTube reviews of drones and quadcopters and listening to many peoples advice. My mind was made up.
My mind was finally made up.
My first drone would be a €40 Syma X5C 1. For the price, you can’t go wrong.
It even came with a 720p camera but the image quality is poor, to be honest, but for the price, what would you expect.
Its mainly a drone for indoor use but can be flown outside. Although if there is so much as a breeze, the little Syma struggles but again its great practice.

Wasn’t long after this I wanted something with more speed and power.
I went for the MJX Bugs 3. The Bugs 3 drone is great fun. Has an attachment for a GoPro Hero 3 and 4 or any similar sized action camera. The

The MJX has no GPS, making it a great quadcopter to hone your skills and it’s a speedy little bugger.
I was going to get a Hubsan H501S. It was just a little out of my budget at the time. This is a fantastic drone and very similar to the

The big boys
My next choice is going to be a DJI Mavic or DJI Phantom 4 Pro. Although expensive they are the best for under two thousand euros.

Many people say that the cheaper drones are just toys and don’t bother with them. They say to just buy something like a Dji Phantom, yeah that’s ok if you have a spare 700 plus euro. The

Unless you have deep pockets or need a drone for commercial purposes then it doesn’t really make sense. Especially if you haven’t flown a drone before.
They may be easy to fly but when things go wrong and you have to manually take hold of the reigns, then your expensive new toy is most likely going to end up disappearing, end up on the floor in bits and pieces or in need of some serious drone repairs.
At the end of the day, the choice is yours.
There are many drones to choose from. Drones for fun, hobbyist, professionals and even for the drone racers.
